Chest

July 30th, 2008

There are many workouts for chest muscle. I am giving out a few here…

Push ups(close and wide hand positions)

It is similar to normal push ups but close and wide hand positions work on the inner and outer chest respectively. The other muscles worked out by this exercise is the Triceps and Shoulder muscles.

Push ups with feet elevated:

Kneel down on the floor and place your hands flat on the floor and slightly wider than shoulder width apart. Move your feet back, placing your toes on a stand that is high. The higher the stand the greater intensity of the exercise! At this point, your body should form a straight line from your shoulders to your ankles. Your body should remain straight throughout this exercise. Keep your head and neck in line with your body so that your are looking down toward the floor. This is the starting position. In a controlled fashion, lower your body down toward the floor, bending your elbows, until your body is nearly touching the floor. Now, push your body up away from the floor, straightening your arms, until you have returned to the starting position. You can also do this with a weight plate on your back!

Weight gain is something not so easy to do. A lot of people think that weightlifting is the key to gaining weight, which is absolutely true. It is one of the important parts of how to gain weight. But, there are other things that are just as important when it comes to weight gain.

Eating is the most crucial and important factor that is needed to gain weight. Carefully plan your meals with food to gain weight, not fat. Stay away from the bad fat.

Focus on foods such as steak, chicken, fruit, milk, vegetables, cheese and assorted types of beans and nuts. Increase your normal portion size and go for seconds.

Eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, and three other small snack meals throughout the day.Proper eating is of utmost importance in weight gain, but if you do not lift weights, the majority of that gained weight will be fat - not muscle.

To gain weight, you do not need weight gain supplement, but they will help you gain the weight quicker. Remember they are supplements to an already good diet and training program.

Track your progress by weighing yourself once a week. This is extremely important. Expect a 1 or 2 pound gain at the end of the week. Remember that gaining anymore then 1 or 2 pounds a week is unhealthy and means you’re putting on way to much fat.

But it is also important to figure out if the weight you are gaining is muscle or fat. To know this, you need to also track your body fat percentage!

Drink lots of water! Drink your 6 to 8 glasses a day, more if you can. It is that water that will give you the energy you need to gain that weight!

The easiest, yet most over looked step is sleep. You will need at least 8 hours of sleep a day.
If you follow your diet and program correctly with discipline & hard work, you should be able to put on a healthy weight gain sooner or later.

His pumped of muscles were completely distinguished from that of others. It is said that his body expanded by a great margin and was very very appealing. When asked about the diet he just says that

Arnold Dumbell Press

This exercise needs two dumbells. Hold two dumbbells in front of you at about upper chest level with your palms facing your body and your elbows flexed. Raise dumbbells by extending elbows; abduct and internally rotate shoulders to straight arm position. Lower to original position and repeat. This is one of the best exercise for shoulders.

Front Raise

Stand with a dumbbell in each hand, palms facing backward. Your feet should be about shoulder width apart. Maintain a slight bend in your elbows throughout the exercise so that your arms are straight, but not quite locked. Lift the weight in your left hand in front of you in a wide arc until it is slightly higher than shoulder height. With a smooth, controlled motion, lower the weight while simutaneously lifting the weight in your right hand, so that both arms are in motion at the same time. Swinging or leaning backwardsmust be avoided. Can also be done with two dumbbells at the same time or a barbell.

Body Building Do’s and Dont’s

July 24th, 2008

There are certain things which anyone practising Body building must do and not do…. Lets see a few of those:

1. You must warm up and stretch as weight lifting may cause muscle strains and pulls which may lead to serious injuries.
2. Work routine must be changed often… Same workouts should not be repeated.
3. Protein rich food must be consumed.
4. More amount of water must be taken. Cold water increases metabolism.
5. Proper breakfast must be taken. Breakfast is the most important meal.
6. Rest is another main factor.

Etiquette Training

July 21st, 2008

It may sound crazy when you take a look into this. This is for training people in basic mannerisms. People have forgotten how they should be behaving in a particular place. The situation is demanding that now its time that we need to be learning this too… I can quote certain examples…. Talking loudly in mobile in a very small room. Using a very strong perfume in a stuffy place. A casanova walk in office…. and this list seems endless… such things may seem silly but really bring out a very bad reputation. Atleast for better conduct these things need to be adjusted so that we can be better civilized.

Not only in such activities… Overdoing or over reacting to a certain situation also come under this category. I am not saying everyone is doing such things wantedly. Its that they are forgetting basic mannerisms.

Thomas Alva Edison

July 20th, 2008

Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety nine percent perspiration
- Thomas Alva Edison…

Great words from a great person… If there were some geniuses those who were born on this earth, they cannot be counted without including Edison among them. 1000 inventions against his name… Can anyone ever do it. Once considered dumb and good for nothing, suffered some of the biggest defeats, many a time penniless.. The guts and determination of this man. That is absolutely awesome. My admiration for this great character is absolutely endless. If i am left to praise him, i can go on and on. But all that i want to say is He is a proven Champion in life.
